Pat Giles has been creating transmedia content before the phrase was even a thing. From augmented reality cereal boxes, to gaming, to holographic rock concerts, Giles has been on the cutting edge of character storytelling.
CREATING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Pat Giles has been creating new IP for the digital age, producing web series featuring new characters and classic characters.
THE MONSTER CEREALS
Giles rescued and revived these characters by leading a licensing strategy, beginning by building a style guide that inspired a decade of products, including new packaging, a NASCAR car, a line of Hot Wheels collectibles, apparel, even an album of Halloween sounds.
For the past year, Giles has been working on a revolutionary project, “The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa,” the very first fully animated rock concert, organizing a team of artists, sculptors, animators, puppeteers, and effects artists, to bring this ambitious stage show to venues around the world.
HYBRID ANIMATION AND LIVE ACTION
Giles created Danger Pigeon Studios to produce ambitious productions that combined multiple media, including CGI, stop-motion and more.
Giles led a cross-functional team of artists and designers to redesign the Green Giant brand, sculpting and drawing with the aim of boiling down the essence of the legendary character. A character guide was created and the new brand mark has been used on packaging around the world.
Giles led the campaign that doubled GoGurt sales in year one, then doubled them again in year two. Slurp ‘Til It’s Flat!
Giles designed a personality-quiz for Girl Scouts of America, turning the iconically popular varieties of Girl Scout Cookies into avatars for personal achievement. Each cookie was anthropomorphized to express different emotions and roles, and the quiz would assign you a cookie based on your responses to the questions.

Giles led the creative assignment for Hasbro brands, including My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop and Marvel Playskool.
SILLY RABBIT, TRIX ARE FOR KIDS
Giles brought TRIX into the modern era, launching the brand in India and China, while also creating a world of branded entertainment.
